    What Love Looks Like

    Genesis 1:24-31

When you were born, one of the first questions someone probably asked was "whom does he (she) look Like? Have you ever wondered whom you look like? Do people ever say, "You remind me of.....?" Verse 26 in todays reading says "...Let us make man in our image, in our likeness..." The fact is, that you were created by God to in some ways, resemble God. This doesn't mean that you have the same color hair as God does, or the same color eyes He has. He created you to be like Him on the inside. He gave you emotions and a desire for knowledge. You are His creation, and in verse 31, He called you good. Can you still be called good? When people look at your life now, do they see any resemblance to God? If someone wanted to know what God is like and they drew a conclusion based on your life, what conclusion would they come to? Christians often take what God created as good and turn it into something that doesn't resemble Him at all. What could point the world toward God, instead turns people away from Him.

In what ways can people tell you were created in God's image? Can they tell by the way you Love, or by the way you Love others? Love is one of the greatest tools we can use to show other who God really is, for God is Love. What do you need to change so that you can begin to resemble God today?

John 13:34 "......Love one another, just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another."

How does this devotional apply to me?

What do people see when they look at me, do they see the Love of Christ?

What will I change so that I will be an image of Gods Love?
