A Declaration of Love
"I love the LORD, because He hath heard my voice and my supplications.
Because He hath inclined His ear unto me, therefore will I call upon Him as long as I live" Psalms 116: 1-2
Written by David, Psalm 116 begins with a declaration of LOVE, David boldly expresses that the Lord hears the cries of His people and graciously intervenes to restore divine order. Later in the same Psalm David says, "What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me!
Although nothing "man offered" could ever repay God for His many benefits, our response to such unconditional love is first to receive it, and then pledge ourselves unto the service of the Lord.
When those occasions of emotional or physical distress come upon you, be quick to call upon the Lord. He has promised to hear your cries and will deliver you out of what may seem to be impossible circumstance.
Nothing is too hard for Almighty God. And after He delivers you, don't forget the vows you made to Him during your time of need - honor God with adoration, praise, service and most of all your LOVE today.
