Recover Your Edge
2 Kings 6:6 So the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float.
Fasting, prayer, studying God’s word and spending time in meaningful worship will give you the power to do what you could not possibly accomplish in your own strength. It will reignite the passion and zeal you once knew and give you back your edge!
Do you remember the story of the young man who lost his edge, or ax head, in the Jordan River? He watched from the riverbank as his iron ax head sank out of reach into the muddy waters. Not only had he lost a valuable, borrowed tool, he would not be able to finish the work he had started.
But all was not lost! Elisha threw a stick in the water and made the iron float! Don’t let the enemy convince you that you’ve lost your edge for good. Your anointing, your purpose, your dream, your passion … they are not out of reach. If God can use Elisha to make iron float, He can recover your edge from the depths!
HEAR THE SOUND . . . TODAY PRAY: Lord, I want to rekindle my passion and zeal for you. I know that you have a plan and purpose for me and I desire to walk in it. I pray that the hopes and dreams I’ve lost along the way will surface again, and you will strengthen me to accomplish your will for my life.
